beautiful summer: approaching storm, sunny jones falls, huge mushroom/tree growth

cute little business card holder i bought from danamarie hosler of greenstarstudio at artscape this year + cool japanese beer flag at matsuri sushi in federal hill.  i have to try to make a flag like this for misha!- it would look awesome in our kitchen.

above is a photo of my grandmother, margaret helen (szabo) elek.  she passed away on june 22, 2011.  right before she passed, i started a new blog called "the wooden spoon", inspired by her and her amazing hungarian recipes.  now it's also a wonderful way to honor her memory.  make sure you check it out! bakesweetthings.wordpress.com
